A group of muslim girls toured outside their city without their muharram to  participate in a cultural event where they had interaction with other male students (non muslims) and  sang Antakshri( that is fimy songs competition ) that too in a month of Ramazan, when everyone is  engaed in seeking forgiveness of their sins; When some consious muslim objected on this the  They accused this  muslim of backwardness and interference ;as per the college and other students religion practices that too islam is an indivduals own, so they are free to do anything ;  forgetting that whar responsibility one muslim has on other -what is huqqoqi allah and huqqoqi ibad where one muslim is rexpected to stop antything against islamic practices as presrcribed by shariah; please comment

AsSlam o alaikum wr wb.

Thats harsh! Embarrassed brother Riaz The Muslim has to control his tongue and not speak unless he says something good. One of the things that the Muslim should do is discipline himself and seek to adopt the best of attitudes and etiquette.

Al-Bukhaari (6018) and Muslim (47) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him speak good or else keep silent…"

Brother kalidm.....there are many ahaadeeth which point to the prohibition of singing and musical instruments and indicate that they are a means which leads to great evil and bad consequences. The great scholar Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah be pleased with him) discussed the rulings on singing and musical instruments in great detail in his book" Ighaathat al-Lahfaan".

Allah talah says in Quran:
“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allaah without knowledge, and takes it (the path of Allaah, or the Verses of the Qur’aan) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell?fire)"
[Luqmaan 31:6]

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…" (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).

SAHIH MUSLIM, BOOK 33: The Book of Destiny (Kitab-ul-Qadr) Number 6422:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying. Allah fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in. There would be no escape from it. The adultery of the eye is the lustful look and the adultery of the ears is listening to voluptuous (song or talk) and the adultery of the tongue is licentious speech and the adultery of the hand is the lustful grip (embrace) and the adultery of the feet is to walk (to the place) where he intends to commit adultery and the heart yearns and desires which he may or may not put into effect.
