Assalamualaikum wr wb

My sole intention is speak my mind from what I see in Jamaat Tabligh.

I used to work in a Masjid. During that time all I could say about the jamaats from Jamaat Tabligh is that they were a total nuisance. All they did soon as they arrived were to sleep, eat, grouped together and salaah. Daawah? Never saw them did that in the Masjid. They just kept to themselves.

They never raised a single finger to assist in the Masjid's daily work. But they found it perfectly alright to raid the Masjid's pantry without asking permission. They ignored Masjid's official who tried to advised them not to sleep in the prayer hall. And you should see how they sleep. Like they were in their own houses. A few times I had to tell them to put their shirts on while they sleep.

They were really a disrespectful lot. A disgrace to Islam.

WALEKUM ASSALAM

DEAR ADEM

can u tell us which kind of work you do in masjid?

Do you know what tabligh and dawat is?

People leaves their houses, families, friends, and almost everything to go in tabligh. The purpose of tabligh for one is to correct his life, learn how to pass his life according to the principles of lslam and to spread Islam in every corner of the world.
       you said

Daawah? Never saw them did that in the Masjid. They just kept to themselves.

I OBSREVE WHEN JAMAT ARRIVES IN MASJID ANYWHERE THAT

After every salaat a man raises from jammat and said
ALL OF YOU ARE REQUESTED TO STAY IN THE MASJID AS AFTER THE COMPLETION OF NAMAZ,THERE WILL BE A DISCUSSION BASED ON DEEN.INSHALLAH IT WILL BE BENEFICIAL IN THIS WORLD AND ALSO FOR HEREAFTER.

When Namaz of mijority people completes, one of them stands and start talking about the purpose of our lives and how to spend them.how one can please ALLAH and makes HIM angry. How we can make our lives according to ISLAM.

They used to go on gasht(visiting people houses to invite them towards ALLAH).Few members of jamat go on gasht while few stay in masjid because members on gasht will ask people to visit masjid as the other members in the masjid are discussing about Islam. They educate themselves.A person who enters in tabligh does not mean that he becomes a man who will never commit any sin. This takes place between ASR and MAGHRIB.To avoid sins and to make their selves according to will of ALLAH,they used to educate themselves (TALEEM) and also invite people in this taleem. After FAJAR and ISHA,again there takes place taleem.

If they goes for tabligh anywhere, they used their own money their own food.No one is paying to them. They are spending their money to put themselves and other people on RAH-e-RAST(straight path). In masajids, there are rooms for these jamats where they can sleep and take rest. How they can sleep in Prayer hall.

One thing i want to clear you that they do not enter in masjid without any permission. They are sent by Markaz(centre of tableegh),where every record of jamat is stored there.Markaz has complete information of every person, who belongs to that jamat. Then they are destined to some place(tashkil) from markaz. They are provided with the authority letter from markaz and they can enter in the masjid by showing that.

These are the mojor tasks of tablighi jamat. How can a person who leaves everythig for tabligh, spending his own money, his own time can only be in masjid for sleeping, eating or taking rest not for dawaah?HuhHuh?
In every jamat there are many new members, some of them are on tabligh for first time or second time. They are from us.For amendment of any thing it requires time. The purpose of tabligh is not only to preach Islam,it also includes the amendment of nafs(innerself).

I m shocked by all what you have mentioned. you used to work in masjid, which type of work you do in masjid???MASJID IS HOLY AND SACRED PLACE FOR MUSLIMS,WHERE MUSLIMS OFFER SALAT,RECITE QURAN AND DO ZIKR AND PREACHED ISLAM.PLEASE TELL ME THAT WHAT KIND OF WORK YOU DO IN MASJID???I M CONFUSED AS YOU SAID THAT I USED TO WORK IN MASJID.

YOU THINK THAT JAMATS DO NOTHING EXCEPT EATING,RESTING AND SLEEPING.DEAR ITS NOT THE CASE.IF THEY ARE NOT PERFORMING THEIR RESPONSIBILTIES THEN HOW ISLAM IS INCREASING DAY BY DAY.MARKAZ DOESNOT ALLOW EVERYONE TO GO ABROAD FOR TABLIGH,THERE ARE SOME REQUIREMENTS FROM MARKAZ FOR THAT,ONLY PERSON WHO FULFILL THEM CAN GO ABROAD.THIS IS MADE TO MAINTAIN THE STATUS OF ISLAM.PEOPLE LIVING IN COUNTRIES OTHER THAN PAKISTAN ARE WAITING FOR THE JAMATS FROM PAKISTAN.NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE EMBRACING ISLAM DAY TO DAY ALL AROUND THE WORLD.THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE SITTING DURING BAYAN WHEN ANY JAMAT ARRIVES THERE AND STARTS PREACHING.ISLAM IS SPREADING DAY BY DAY.I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU THAT JAMATS DO NOTHING EXCEPT EATING,RESTING AND SLEEPING AND THEY ARE THE CAUSE FOR THE DISRESPECT OF ISLAM.

NEXT TIME WHEN JAMAT ARRIVES IN YOUR MASJID,TRY TO SPEND MAXIMUM TIME WITH IT,MAY BE YOUR IDEAS ABOUT JAMAT CHANGES.

MAY ALLAH GUIDE ME AND ALL OF US.AMEEN SUMAMEEN YARABBULA'LAMEEN.
ASSALAM O ALAIKUM.

Salaam, Brother Mohammad Jawaad

I was a fulltime caretaker in a masjid. My resposibilties included maintaining the cleanliness in and out of the masjid, preparing for any religious events etc.

Indeed, members of the jamaat tabligh are sent by the markaz. But from where I am only 1 masjid caters to the jamaat tabligh. When this masjid is full members of the jamaat are sent to other masjids in transit. These masjids do not have rooms for the jamaat tabligh. So they rest and sleep around the masjids.

I told the truth of what I saw with my own eyes. These brothers acted like they are Allah's special emissaries. They would help themselves to the masjid's properties as though they were their own. They would rummaged through cabinets in the pantry to look for utensils to prepare their food. Most of the times I would let them be. These were fisabilillahs after all. But many times they overstepped their boundary. On one occasion I reprimanded a member of the jamaat for sleeping under a table in the pantry. The pantry is also used by muslimahs. Can you imagine if one of the muslimah saw him there.

Dear brother. The reality is much different from your perspective. My personal experiences with members of jamaat tabligh were real. No matter where they were from. India, pakistan, South Afrca, or Sri Lanka. The fact is, if this is what jamaat tabligh stands for...then I wouldn't want to be one.

Assalam Alaykum!

Brother Adem! I agree to you to an extent more than 100 percent as some of the members of Tablighi Jamaat do the same.

The reason behind it is the only fact which is:

Majority of the people joining Tablighi Jamaat are ignorant of Deen and they spend their time in the path of Allah to learn about all these rules and regulations taught by Rasoolullah SAW.

As they said them to be students so we must also ignore their faults and try to teach them accordingly as most of them are not really familiar with the environments of the Masjids and Madrassas as we use to be.

Once, I saw a youngman going back from the masjid before Fajar prayer while he was wearing sleeping suit hence his Satar was covered more than well. I asked him about the return then he was annoyingly saying that he was taunted by someone in the Masjid that he doesnt have the proper dress to be in Masjid so he got out from there and was moving towards his home.

Batil is trying to get us out from the Masajid and these people of Tabligh are doing their best to get everyone in Masjid.

They will be learning about the Adaaab of Masajid with the passage of time but let them come in Masjid first.

and Allah Ta'laa knows best.

Regards,

your brother in Islaaam

ASSALAM O ALAIKUM

GREAT ANSWER.JAZAKALLAH MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU.
I M ALSO TRYING TO EXPLAIN THE SAME POINT THAT SOME MEMBERS OF THE JAMAT TAKE PART IN TABLIGH FOR 1ST TIME TO LEARN ISLAM AND THEY ARE NOT AS PERFECT AS WE THINK ABOUT THEM.

JAZAKALLAH
REMEMBER ME IN UR DUAS.
ASSALAM O ALAIKUM.

Question: I have started to become committed recently, praise be to Allaah. In our area there is the Jamaa?at al-Tableegh, who go out for thirty days or more. People say different things about them. Some say, don?t go out with them, because their going out is an innovation (bid?ah) and they have some mistaken ideas. Others advised me to go out with them. What is the correct view concerning that? Should I go out with them or not?.

Answer:Praise be to Allaah.

We have already discussed this group and some of their pros and cons.

Shaykh Ibn ?Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about that and he said:

Usually in every issue there are two extremes and a middle way. Some people praise this group a great deal and encourage going out with them; others condemn them a great deal and warn against them more than they would warn you about a lion. And some people tread a middle path between those two extremes.

I think that there is some good in this group; they call others to Islam and have a clear influence that no other daa?iyahs have had. How many kaafirs have become believers at their hands, and how many evildoers has Allaah guided through them?

Moreover they have an attitude of humility and selflessness that is not found in many others.

Some people say that they have no knowledge of hadeeth, and so on.

They are undoubtedly good people, but I think that those of them who are in Saudi do not go to Pakistan or other countries, and we do not know anything about the ?aqeedah of those people (in other countries) or their manhaj (methodology). But there is nothing wrong with the manhaj followed by our companions here in Saudi.

With regard to limiting da?wah to three or four days, or to two or four or six months, or two years, there is no shar?i evidence for that. But they think that this has to do with organization. If a person goes out for three days, and knows that he is limited to these three days, he will focus his mind and forget about worldly matters. This is the matter of organization, and is not an act of worship or a matter of sharee?ah.

I think, may Allaah bless you, that if you have the opportunity to seek knowledge then it is better to do that, because seeking knowledge is good and the people nowadays have a great need for scholars who have knowledge of the Sunnah and who are well-versed in knowledge. If you are not able to seek knowledge, and you go out with them in order to purify yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. There are many people whom Allaah has guided at their hands.

And Allaah is the Source of strength
