Imam As-Shafi'is Poetry..

Assalamu Alaikum

من ذا الذي قد نال راحة سره * في عسره إن كان أو في يسره
فأخو التجارة خـائف مترقب * مما يلاقي من خسارة أمره
وأخو الوزارة حـائر متفـكر * مما يقاسي من نوائب دهره
وكذلك السلطـان في أحكامه * رهن الهموم على جلالة قدره
ولقد حسدت الطير في أوكاره * فوجدت أكثر ما يصاد بوكره
تالله لو عـاش الفتى من دهره * ألفا من الأعوام مالك أمره
متلـذذا فيهـا بكل مليـحة * متنعما فيها بنعمى عصره
لا يعتريـه السقـم فيها مرة * أبدا ولا تطرا الهموم بفكره
وصفت له الأيـام حتى إنـه * لا تنطق الأصوات عند مقره
ما كان ذلك كلـه ممـا يفي * بمبيت أول ليلة في قبره

Bara nadaan he wo jo karta he apni tarraqi par ghuroor
Ham ne to chartea hu-ea suraj ko be dhaltae huwa deka he

Perfect Prayer

Brothers & Sisters can you hear the Adhan?
The call to prayer for every woman & man,
"Come pray with me he says,
Come quick & don't be late"
Cleanse yourself & make Wudhu,
It's the best thing you can do,
Stand up strait side by side,
Unite together with one soul & mind,
Listen to the beautiful Qur'an,
Recited by the respected Imam,
So sincere and calm,
Don't let your mind wonder,
Instead listen and ponder,
For every word that leaves his lips,
Is a blessing that Allah gives
As you raise your hands in the air,
Asking Allah for His care,
Let your eyes shed those tears,
Even though there's nothing to fear,
Coz that's what I call the Perfect Prayer.

Shaheed Dadullah

Here is a poem tribute to Shaheed Commander Dadullah written by Ibn Ghalib Al-Kayfi who laments on the fact that none can mourn a man who changed the course of history, a Lion among men who inshaAllah now rests in eternity.

DADULLAH, STEP WITH YOUR ONE LEG ON THE GROUNDS OF PARADISE

(There is no compulsion on a one-legged man (To fight in the path of Allah))
Qur?an

?By Allah, I wish to step with this one leg of mine in paradise?
Amr Bin Al-Jumuh, the companion of the prophet, before the Battle of Uhud

How do you mourn a man living in eternity?
How do you mourn a man who changed the course of history?

How do you mourn a freeman in the age of slavery?
In the age of cowardice, how does one mourn bravery?

How in the age of crusaders and sons of Zion,
Nay in the age of snakes, how do you mourn a lion?

But Kandahar and the Hindu Kush mountains cry out
As does Jalalabad, Qunduz and Shahi Kot?

Do not mourn a prince who was a master of the fight!
Do not mourn a warrior, a champion, a knight!

Mourn yourself until you break your shackles
Mourn yourself until you join the battle

But do not mourn Dadullah!

There was no compulsion on him, but as a freeman he fought an empire

Dadullah, step with your one leg in paradise, for that was your desire.

LUTF DUNIYA KE HAI CHAAR DIN K LIYE,
KHONA JANNAT KE MAZAE IN K LIYE,
YE KYA AI DIL TU BAS PHIR YU SAMAJH,
TU NE NADAAN GUL DIYE TINKE LIYE.

"HOLY QURAN IS MY NAME"

I AM A BOOK IN ELEGANT PRINTS,
TO KNOW MY NAME, HERE ARE SOME HINTS.

RICH IN COVER AND NICELY BOUND,
IN HEARTS OF MUSLIMS, I AM RARELY FOUND.
HIGH ON A SHELF, I AM LEFT.

WITH RESPECT, I DO GET LOT OF KISSES,
MY MAIN POINT IS WHAT THEY ALWAYS MISS.
IN A MELODIOUS VOICE, THEY RECITE ME,
NEGLECTING THE MESSAGE INSIDE ME.

AT TIME I AM USED FOR PHONY, SWEAR,
MY TRUE USE IS VERY RARE.

A MIRACLE I AM THAT CAN CHANGE THE WORLD,
ALL ONE HAS TO DO IS UNDERSTAND MY WORD.

I HAVE WISDOM I HAVE TREASURE,
SO MUCH SO THERE IS NO MEASURE.

I'M YOUR SAVIOR, I'M YOUR GUIDE,
BUT WHO'S THERE TO FOLLOW THE BIDE.
RIGHT FROM WRONG IS MY FAME,

HOLY QURAN IS MY NAME.

Ae Mere Khuda Koi Chah dey na jilaal dey
Mujhe sirf auj-e-kamal dey

Main Her ek dil kee sadaa banoon
kay zamana meri misaal dey

Main Bulandion per rahoon magar
Raheay pastion kee mughey khabar

Woh Arooj kar dey mughay ata
jo kabhi na mukhko zawal dey

Teri Rahmaton ka nazool hoe
Meri Mehnaton ka sila milay

Mughey Mal-o-zar kee havas na hoe
Mughey rizq dey toe Halal dey

Main ik Zar-e-natwan, main kisi ka dard na seh sakoon
Mujhey azm dey mughay sabr dey, Mujey Ranj day, na malaal dey

Merey zehan main teri fikr hoe
meri saans main tera zikr hoe

Tera Khoef meri najaat hoe
sabhi khoef dil say nikaal dey

Teri barghah main merey khuda
meri roz-o-shab hai yehi dua

Tu Rahim Hai, Tu Karim hai
Sabhi blaon ko tu taal dey

Kaash main sang-e-Dar Tera hota
Tere qadmoun ko chuumta hota

Tu chala karta meri palko par
Kaash main tera raasta hota

Zur'ra hota main teri raho ka,
Teri talwoh ko chuu liya hota

Larta phirta main Tere adaa se
Teri khaatir main marr geya hota

Tere mazkan ke gird shaam-o-sahar
Ban ke mangta main phir raha hota

Hai to Tahir tere fakiron mein
Teri dahliz par khara hota....
